Reliability Engineer Diagnostics
Haver & Boecker Canada is a long-established leading provider of screening and pelletizing
systems, serving primarily the North American and Australian Mining and Aggregate markets.
The company’s mission is to deliver the best of these technologies to customers in the mining,
minerals, aggregates, construction materials, fertilizers, and salt industries through a complete
portfolio of innovative mineral processing technologies.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, execute and
develop maintenance strategies based on vibration analysis tools. Provide data analysis for
customers and internal team and assist programming team with system development. Provide
PULSE Diagnostic support and assist in root cause analysis, including translation of findings
into vibration analysis data characteristics, and assist in troubleshooting. Provide training to
customers and internal team to increase Vibration Analysis knowledge. Provide sales support
and drive sales activities for our diagnostic products.
Responsibilities:
• Review and interpret asset condition data daily or as required, and initiate actions. Work
with the internal team and customer’s maintenance team to confirm and execute actions.
• Carry out daily data collection and monitoring, and provide guidelines for repairs,
including working with service teams as required.
• Support Reliability Engineers in their continuous review and improvement processes.
• Work closely with sales team and develop sales strategies, including hands-on support
and installation of systems at customer’s site.
• Participate in reviews for asset maintenance requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance and evaluate equipment downtime history and failure
trends to determine cause of poor equipment performance.
• Support the diagnostics programming team by providing feedback on system reliability
and functions as well as helping to define future system features.
• Assist in routine failure investigation and root cause analysis and develop solutions to
eliminate potential failure(s).
• Support planning and execution of reliability improvement projects specifically intended
to optimize screen availability and performance.
• Develop and implement asset maintenance tactics and strategies to facilitate reliability
centered maintenance programs.
• Assist in life cycle costing analysis to support financial decision-making, such as end-of-
life repair-replace decisions or selection of new assets.
• Internal and customer presentations, including corporate level engagement.
• Extensive travel will be required.
• Constantly generate LEAN ideas to improve Marketing products and processes• Work in a Safe manner by adhering to all Company Health & Safety policies and Legislated
Regulations
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical/Electrical Technologist
Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience with mobile/fixed plant maintenance.
• Experience with monitoring techniques including vibration and lubrication analysis.
• Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance principles and techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot network and system failures, with a strong foundation in network
diagnostics and analytics tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability
to juggle multiple tasks and learn rapidly.
• Good knowledge of computer systems, IT components, and network functions, with
excellent communication abilities and technical support experience.
