Field Service Technician - Canada

Primary Responsibilities

• Extensive travel and field service / technical support to customer sites within North America
• Installation of equipment at customer’s facility to ensure full functionality according to Haver & Boecker Niagara specifications
• Provide on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair all Haver & Boecker Niagara equipment
• Provide technical support remotely for Haver & Boecker Niagara customer install base
• Performs service procedures within the scheduled time
• Complete and submit all service documentation accurately and completely following Haver & Boecker Niagara procedures and guidelines
• Cooperation in projects such as training and service meetings as required
• Work closely with sales and inside support team as required
• Communicate and maintain service records and field service reports
• Manage service tools and spare parts inventory to ensure accurate inventory of assigned company assets

Qualifications and Skills

• Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic/ Millwright, Red Seal would be an asset
• Two to three years’ experience servicing industrial equipment at customer sites
• Experience in written, oral, schematic and diagram engineering instructions
• Computer knowledge of PC-configuration, MS-Windows, Network knowledge, MS-Office
• Product knowledge on industrial machinery in a mining or aggregate environment is an asset

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive lifting/carrying; pushing/pulling; standing; climbing; squatting; bending; kneeling

Primary Responsibilities

  • Professional execution of electrical installation of screening, washing and pelletizing plants (average duration of employment: 1-3 days)
  • Installation (electronic/mechanical) of machines worldwide, commissioning
  • Close cooperation with customer staff and task coordination
  • Training of operating staff at customer site
  • Troubleshooting and repair of faults
  • Repair and maintenance of equipment
  • Reporting and documentation of service calls
  • Confident English language skills, both written and spoken

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Completed professional qualification as mechatronics engineer/electrician/industrial mechanic
  • Work experience desirable
  • Flexibility for short-term inland and international assignments
  • High degree of technical understanding
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with customers, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
