Four Niagara XL-Class vibrating screens headed to South America for Copper Mining
We are excited to announce a new copper mining project in Peru. Our customer is using four custom-designed, 14- by 28-meter (46- by 92-foot), Niagara XL-Class banana vibrating screens to process copper ore. The exciter-driven machines include a High-Pressure Grinding Rolls discharge system to effectively process up to 1,600 tonnes per hour at cut sizes of 6.35 mm. Each machine is equipped with our signature Niagara Exciters and Tyler Engineered Media to ensure optimum screening efficiency and equipment reliability. The dynamic condition of our XL-Class screening technology can be adjusted to reach the operators unique application requirements, including acceleration, amplitude and speed.
The robust design of our XL-Class screening technology makes it the largest exciter-driven machine in the industry, offering producers a high-capacity screening action of up to 15,000 tons per hour. It is ideal for a wide range of applications, including iron ore and oil sands applications.

Copper Producer improves his performance by using the Niagara XL-Class MD 3200 x 7320 in his operation
For the copper producer, its SAG MILL discharge screens are the heart of its processing operation and is built to endure the mining industry’s tough working conditions. The site operates 24 hours a day, processing more than 3,000 tons per hour, 365 days a year. The superintendents expect, hence, the best quality equipment with easily maintains and reduced wear and tear. The Niagara Equipment for copper processing meets perfectly these requirements.
That’s why a leader in copper processing contacted us to develop an innovative concept for him. Working very closely with the copper operator, we developed the biggest copper screening plant in Chile, consisting of 5 Niagara vibrating screens of the type XL-CLASS MD 3200 x 7320 that is remarkable with the material cut sizes of 20 & 10 mm and its impressive capacity of 3000 tph. The new copper plant improved the performance of our customer and allow him to produce a clean, properly-sized product though the entire processing time by considering all environmental standards.

Copper Producer Meets Screening Demands with Niagara XL-Class Vibrating Screen
We like to think of the vibrating screen as the beating heart of a processing operation. That’s how a North American copper mine using our Niagara XL-Class sees it. The site uses the screen to process 30 million tons of copper ore annually and has made great use of our refurbishment program to achieve a like-new vibrating screen at a fraction of the cost. Beyond size, the vibrating screen’s design is simple, featuring a bridge-mounted exciter drive system — the other key factor that appealed to the operation. Its construction is straightforward, featuring crossbeams, rails, side plates and a bridge, simplifying maintenance. The producer has one XL-Class working within its operation, and a second machine ready to move into place when maintenance is required.
